I have a hunger that...How to play
Preparation
The 78 cards are shuffled and distributed in equal numbers among the players. If according to the number of players any cards should be left over, they will be placed at the side of the table.
Each player places his deck of covered cards in front of him, and a Caramella token is placed in the center of the table.
Start of the game
The player who will start the game is drawn. He/she will turn over a card from his/her deck by placing it in the center of the table next to the "Candy" token.
If it is an Animal card the player will have to say, "I have a hunger that I would eat... and the name of the animal on the card," e.g., "I have a hunger that I would eat a whale."
If it is a Verse card, at least for the first draw, the player will have to put the card back at the bottom of his or her deck and turn over a new card.
If it is a Candy card a token will be added to the one already on the table. The player will have to say, "I'm so hungry I could eat a candy".
The turn passes to the player on the left. Player 2 turns over the first card of his or her deck and places it face up on top of the card drawn by player 1. The card must completely cover the card underneath it.
If it is an Animal card he or she will have to say, "I'm so hungry I could eat... the name of the animal drawn and the name of the animal drawn in the previous round," e.g., "I have a hunger that I would eat a lion and a whale."
The game continues by passing the turn to player 3. All cards remain in the center of the table.
If it is a Candy card another token is placed in the center of the table and the player does not have to repeat any sentence.
All cards remain in the center of the table. In listing the animals the candy must also not be said.
The game continues by passing the turn to player 3.
If it is a Verse card the player must make the verse of the animal represented and repeat in sequences the cards drawn.
At this point the game stops. A check is made to see if the player who made the verse repeated the sequence correctly, for example, "I am so hungry that I would eat a lion and a whale."
If the player makes a mistake in remembering the list he is eliminated from the game and all the cards in the center stack are to be eliminated from the game.
End of the game
Whoever manages to win the most candy tokens wins.
